Bump Update: 29 Weeks

I just want to take the time to let all of the other expecting mama's out there to know that you are in my prayers.  This isn't easy.  Every day is a new adventure and brings new questions and thoughts to the surface.  And then there are all of the crazy things that do and can happen - swelling, gestational diabetes, anemia, headaches, nausea that lasts past the 1st trimester, back pain, braxton hicks...the list goes on.  I have been fortunate enough to have pretty smooth sailing.  And I am so thankful for that.  But I do know that this isn't typical.  And because of that I keep all the other mama's I know in prayer.  No matter what comes your way, no matter what new problem or symptom arises, know that God is there.  He will help you overcome any obstacle you may face and He will never leave your side throughout this entire pregnancy or any time after.  Lean on His strength, give Him your worries and fears, and breath in His goodness.  He's got you!

Whoa!

hehe.  Definitely growing.
On the right is just last week!  Definite difference!!
And just for the fun of it, this is part of the ridiculousness that ensues as Hubby takes 5 million pictures and freezes my phone.....

Not even sure what I was saying but I'm sure it wasn't very nice.  ;)

This week, baby is the size of a: Small head of cabbage!  Cabbage Patch!  ;)

Next appointment: Next week!  I think Mom is coming with me this time to meet the doc she hasn't met yet.  I think she will get a kick out of Dr. Narcisse.  ;)

Total Weight Gain/Loss:  Slowly but surely.  Only a couple of pounds up from my pre-preggo weight.  But total I've gained almost 13 lbs since I started gaining...which really wasn't all that long ago.  Really trying to pack on the protein because I'm not getting enough.  Eggs for lunch, milk when I remember, and protein shakes on occasion.

Exercise: Squats as much as I can and sitting tailor style as often as I remember.  Also pelvic rocking before bed....soon to be 3 or 4 times a day.  And I really need to get Hubby to help me with the Butterfly exercise.  All from the Bradley method, but if it helps, I'm doing it!  ;)

Maternity Clothes: Pretty much everyday for bottoms.  If it isn't maternity, it isn't comfortable.  But tops aren't necessary yet.  I just have a few that are too short these days.  ;)

Sleep: Pretty good.  Got a body pillow just the other day and it does seem to help.  Just takes up space in the bed and I hate having to move it to get up and down to go use the bathroom...which is multiple times a night.  lol.

Food Cravings/Aversions: None.

Movement: She is pretty crazy in there.  Hubby loves when he can find where she is at and get her to move - like playing hide and seek.  ;)

What I Miss: Being able to stand for longs periods of time without my feet and legs aching horribly.  :P

What I'm Loving: All that movement.  Seriously.  It is the neatest thing!

What I'm Looking Forward To: Preparing more for delivery.  We are reading and practicing and trying to be as ready as we can be (which won't be much in the end I'm sure).  But I enjoy learning more techniques to assist in the labor process!

Best Moment This Week: Folding all of her clothes.  It just makes me more and more excited!

Milestones: She is almost to her birth length.  Crazy right!?!

Goals: Get caught up in our garden with weeding and fertilizing (organically of course).  Finish painting boards for the ceiling in our room and Baby Girl's room.  Touch up nursery trim.

Yeah, that to do list is kind of working.  lol.  The ceiling in our room should be complete tonight after the guys put up the trim.  Then I just need to patch some paint and we can move back into our bedroom!  No more studio apartment living for us!  ;)  But I do have to get the boards painted for Baby Girl's room so that can be finished.  Hopefully starting that process tonight.  I need to get some of our decorations up to make space for her stuff too.  As well as all of my parents stuff...but that's a story for a different post.  :)

  1. She'll be here before you know it!
I am already planning on getting my girls birthday stuff ready soon (their bdays are in january) so I don't have as much to deal with having a newborn. I've also been doing some christmas shopping... I like to be early most years - but I'm trying to be REALLY early this year! Every little thing makes a difference! Trust me! I even have stamps bought ahead for Christmas cards so it's not a huge chunk out of the budget around the holidays! haha! I don't usually prepare so well... but having a baby makes you (or at least me) want to get things together!
Hope you'll post pics of the babies room when you get it all done! Ours was all set up for #1 - until we had #2 and we had to move 2 cribs into one room... that kind of turned the room into chaos... but I hope to get that sorted out before #3 comes too! :)

    1. You are on a roll!! I like to be prepared...so it stresses me out a bit that we haven't finished the nursery. But it is coming along and should be done before I know it. I plan on posting pics, so no worries there! :)

I'm learning to just go with the flow. Things will get done as they need to....I hope. ;)

  2. I loved feeling my boys move. So much that if you could pick a time frame to be pregnant and spend your 9 months there I think heavy moving, but no swollen ankles would be my happy place.
