Respect Challenge

25 Weeks to Becoming a Respectful Wife

I stumbled across a list of 25 ways to communicate respect to your husband over at Loving Life At Home.  This has inspired me to take 25 weeks and make each of these things a habit.  I want to be the wife my husband dreamed of, I want to be a wife he is proud of, one he talks about, one he doesn't have a problem loving like Jesus does.  Blogging weekly will not only keep me accountable, but I hope it will also give you some inspiration!  I encourage you to join me on this journey!  I'll share what I do each day and what Hubbies response was (if there was one).  And hopefully you will share your experience as well!

Below is a list of each week's challenges to date.  Start wherever you like, take as much time as you need.  Any step in the right direction is a good step!  I may keep coming back to these myself.  Good luck ladies!

Week 1 - Choose Joy
Week 2 - Honor His Wishes
Week 3 - Undivided Attention
Week 4 - Don't Interrupt
Week 5 - Emphasize His Good Points
Week 6 - Pray for Him
Week 7 - Don't Nag
Week 8 - Be Thankful
Week 9 - Smile at Him
Week 10 - Respond Physically
Week 11 - Eyes Only For Him
Week 12 - Kiss Him Goodbye
Week 13 - Prepare Food He Loves

Okay, so I might have lost track of this one...but I will be back and we WILL finish!  :)

  1. A lot of these we do daily. and we don't criticize. and we say please and thank you. Its amazing of how much a difference your life can be when you do these things. My significant other and I have been together for over 15years .. and I wouldn't change a thing :)

    1. I would love to say we do all of these daily but even though we try it just doesn't always happen. ;)

Doing exercises like this helps me remember what I should be doing daily!

  2. Focus on one particular thing each week will help instill you with that improvement, I think. Very amazing of you to always be bettering yourself!

    1. Thanks! It isn't that I shouldn't be doing all of these things all of the time - but it is nice to focus on things a little more sometimes. :) And it definitely helps you see the benefit.
